Buying used equipment doesn't always have to be a shot in the dark. We know there are plenty of differences when it comes to used equipment and quite often, choosing between different pieces is difficult, especially when the equipment is not sitting right in front of you. Well, what if you were able to see a piece of equipment before you purchased it? Not just a picture from the manufacturer's website, but the actual piece of equipment you would receive.
With InstraView™, we move you one step closer to inspecting the equipment you're interested in without having to wait for the equipment to show up at your door. InstraView™ works in your web browser and allows you to view the actual piece of equipment you're interested in before purchasing.

Mark, what is the software and the cable that you use to communicate with the D50-Series? Thanks, Ttv The software is WinGPC. PM me an email address if you need help finding it. Here is a link to some manuals and application notes.
The first link is for the D300 which is the same family as the D50. See Chapter 8 for comm info. The second one has some pin-out info. The third link is for the D50 users manual. I didn't see the cable diagram but I have a cable that I could look at to make a diagram if you dont find one. The part numbers I have is D50ZBL10 for the cable and D50CPM485 for the 232 to 485 converter. Do I need to buy both the cable and converter?

Or can I just get the converter and use a regular RS232 cable or do I need to make a special one. Sorry if this is a noob question, but I don't know anything about these cables needed to communicate. I am just trying to upload the programs from some D50 plcs at work to back them up. Apparently we used to have the cable long ago, before I started working here, but no one can find it now.
